Before taking over from Ray Broadbent in February 2014, Gareth and his family were living in Scotland where he was operations manager for Casino’s Austria for the UK. He worked almost exclusively night shift in a suit and tie so being able to work during the day and outside in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt is fantastic.
Gareth gets to see his son before school every day and they always have dinner as a family which he missed for quite a few years. Prior to the UK he worked on cruise ships for a few years and also in a few other casinos in other parts of the world and in Australia.
Gareth enjoys watching and playing rugby, more so the “watching” these days. He has a great love for motorcycles and dirt bike riding which has also become more of a spectator sport as his wife doesn’t seem to believe he is indestructible!
